➞   Users aren’t informed about the updates. For example, you will see a change in your dashboard unexpectedly.
➞   Using Raven tools for multiple clients daily, you might experience some issues like reports failing to be updated in real-time.

Before I start my unbiased review on Raven Tools, I would like to inform you that I have used Raven Tools as a blogger and in collaboration with a marketing agency. So, I can assure you that you can use this tool being in both positions.

I used Raven tools for reportings, site optimization, keyword research, discovering link building opportunities, competitor research, and strategy formulation.

You might be wondering how good the results were?

I was quite satisfied with the results as I was able to generate three times more traffic than the actual one my client was receiving on his site.

You can say that Raven Tools is a one-stop marketing tool, but it’s not as good as SEMrush or Ahrefs. Although it can be considered a low-priced alternative to them, if you’re a beginner and have issues with the budget, I would like to suggest you go with Raven Tools instead of SEMrush or Ahrefs.

In this article, we will look at all the features of Raven Tools, which can help you to grow your business exponentially.

Raven Tools Review with its Features

In this in-depth review, I will show you the importance of using all the tools provided by Raven Tools.

Site Auditor Classic and Studio

Website Audit is necessary to resolve all the major and minor technical or SEO errors, and it helps your website perform better in search engines.

You can find various websites that provide free site audits, but they are time-consuming, in most cases, inaccurate. Rather than spending hours on different websites, I would suggest going with Raven Tools Site Auditor.

Now, we will see how to perform site audits with the help of Site Auditors.

Either you can go ahead with your campaign or change the campaign from the drop-down menu. Afterward, navigate to SEO Research > Site Auditor Classic.

After clicking on the Site Auditor Classic, the auditor will automatically perform the site audit on the website mentioned in your campaign.

Once the site audit is finished, you can view the colored bar at the top that shows you the summary of the site audit concerning the four main categories: Image, Meta, Link, and Other.

In the default view, the site-auditor categorizes issues into six primary tabs, including visibility, meta, content, link, image, and semantic issues.

The best part of the site-auditor tool is it does not report issues only, but it also explains how to improve those errors. Under each tab, you will get an actionable, easy-to-follow checklist of suggestions to make your site error-free.

Raven Tools offers two ways to view your audit, i.e., Classic and Studio. Earlier, we have performed the audit with the Site Auditor Classic, where you analyze all the issues. On the other hand, Studio helps you to create a checklist that can be marked off so you can continue to optimize your site.

Once you click on any of the issues from the list, you will be redirected to the next page to mark off the issues you have solved. This helps you to remove the errors from the list that are fixed.

Site auditing is not a one-time process; instead, it has to be done regularly. That’s why Raven Tools allow you to schedule your site audit weekly or monthly. You will receive a notification if it finds some new errors and issues.

SERP Rank Tracker

Raven’s SERP Rank Tracker Tool helps you to track all of your keywords. With the SERP tracker, you can track 1,500 to 30,000 keywords monthly, depending on your subscription plan. However, an extra charge for tracking keywords is $0.003 per keyword.

Apart from monitoring the ranking of your focus keywords, you can also set custom parameters across devices, locations, and search engines.

Now, we will see how to use the SERP Rank Tracker tool.

Firstly, navigate to Rank Tracking > SERP Tracker. Then, click on the “Add Keywords.”

You can add keywords that you want to target, in case, you don’t have a list of your targeted keywords, use Raven‘s Keyword Research tool to generate a list of keywords.

Once you click on “Add Keywords,” you have to provide information in three sections as below.

In the first section, add your targeted keywords or phrases. Here, you can add up to 1000 keywords at a single time.

In the second section, choose the rank tracking frequency as daily, weekly, or monthly.

In the last section, include or exclude the search engines for your keyword ranking checks. Simply, click on include or exclude below the search engine.

Once you click on “Include” for a specific search engine, it will ask you to set certain parameters, including location, city, and device.

If you want to check keywords ranking for more than one location, click on “Add Another” to add another locale or city.

Note: Each parameter will be counted as one rank check and added to Rank Position Check Usage total.

Now, Review and Confirm all the parameters that you have set. You will be redirected to the summary of your keyword ranking checks.

Here, you can analyze your keywords concerning average position, latest position, ranking keywords, and all keywords. In simpler words, it helps you to monitor the keywords that need to be further optimized for your website.

You can also compare your competitors’ keyword rankings using the Competitor Rank Check. Click on “Competitors” from the left-side menu and add a competitor that already exists in the campaign or create a new one.

Link Building Manager

Link building is one of the significant steps to create an effective SEO strategy. With Raven’s link manager, you can store and organize link building activities.

Monitor the lost and gained links in the reports and categorize all the links for better understanding. Link Manager allows you to integrate CRM and research tools to import and export data with ease.

To store and organize your links, navigate to Link Building > Link Manager. Then you can add new links or import links via CSV file.

Once you click on “Add New Link,” you will have to fill out all the information. The necessary information has to be filled, such as status (active, inactive, etc.,) and type (referral, affiliate, etc.) of the link.

Then, click on the “Submit.” Fortunately, you can store various information relevant to a link, including link status, link description, destination URL, referring domain, and website type that will help you to strategize your link building campaigns.

If you find a domain whose link can boost your website traffic, you can add the link in your link manager to track all the links.

Furthermore, you can add URLs for head to head comparison with your competitors.

All the data generated by Research Central can move data into other tools on the Raven platform, including Keyword Manager.

Keyword Manager

Whether you’re a blogger or an SEO expert, you need to maintain a lot of spreadsheets for managing your keywords. Raven’s Keyword Manager allows you to upload, organize, and store your keywords at a single location.

To get started with Keyword Manager, navigate to Keyword Research > Keyword Manager. Either you can add keywords manually or import keywords from the CSV file.

Once you add all of your keywords, you’ll be able to analyze some high-level metrics such as average rank, number of visits, local and global search volume, advertiser competition, number of requested, and active links.

Alternatives

Raven Tools is one of the best marketing tools concerned with its price. But, some of the alternatives outrank Raven Tools in certain areas.

SEOprofiler

SEOprofiler is a complete SEO solution that helps to increase your website visitors, which increases sales. The platform deals with everything an SEO tool needs from keyword research to link building.

SEOprofiler deals with rank tracking, competitive intelligence, keyword research, website optimization, link analysis, link building, mobile and local SEO, uptime monitoring, and reporting.

Unlike Raven Tools, SEOprofiler does not allow you to import keywords for rank tracking. Sometimes, it becomes a challenging task to add a high number of keywords in the monitoring tool.

SEOprofiler takes care to find relevant backlinks to boost your search rankings and avoid fishy links that might lead to the penalty. Additionally, the Link analyzer generates the report through which you can view the percentage of unique links, trusted links, and the links pointing towards the domain.

Raven Tools’ basic plan starts from $49 per month (billed monthly), while the SEOprofiler basic plan starts from $69.95 per month (billed monthly), which means SEOprofiler is a bit more expensive than the Raven Tools.

SE Ranking

SE Ranking is an All-in-one SEO software introduced for entrepreneurs, SMBs, agencies, and enterprises. They are having more than 300,000 users using their platform.

SE Ranking is one of the best tools that are unfamiliar with SEO. It provides a to-do list that helps you to make it to the top rankings in the search engine results.

Backlink Checker tool assists you in gathering more backlinks opportunities by analyzing the backlink profiles of other websites. For instance, you can view the domains, URLs, and domains without subdomains to find all the backlinks pointing towards them.

Unlike the Backlink Checker, the Backlink Monitor tool focuses on the backlinks already available on the site. You can monitor the domain authority, Alexa rank, referring IP, anchor text, and much more for the added backlinks.

SE Ranking costs you $39 per month, which is cheaper than the basic plan of the Raven Tools. You can also try its 14-day free trial to see whether it meets your expectations or not.

Conclusion

Raven Tools provides all the tools needed to rank your content and website in the search engines. Whether it’s keyword research or domain research, it helps you to discover new opportunities.
